Amanda Brett
Amanda is an award-winning, internationally recognised en plein air watercolour artist, with works held in collections in Italy, UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, New Zealand and Australia.
Amanda loves watercolour painting, more than that - it's her life!! She's totally addicted to the chemical reactions produced by the combination of organic watercolour pigments, traditional watercolour papers and water - she loves watching paint dry!!
Anna Jacobi
Anna loves oars, a passion evolved from her love of sailing, sea life, nature and art. She has specialized in painting wooden nautical oars and collects character antique wooden oars, decorating them with paint, textured materials and decoupage. She enjoys the use of design, colour, interesting textures and space on both old and new oars, incorporating a unique nautical look.
Bee Doughty
Bee Doughty Pratt is recognised for her evocative and atmospheric semi-abstract seascapes and landscapes - from very small to very large canvases created using oils.
Bee paints full-time and exhibits successfully throughout New Zealand. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections both here in Aotearoa and offshore.
Bee also accepts commissions for larger works.
Christine Whiteley
Having left a career at Waikato Hospital and a lifestyle block in Eureka, Christine Whiteley is now living ‘the dream’ in Omokoroa. Her time is devoted to handcrafting a variety of colourful ceramics for people to enjoy in their homes and gardens. Making use of totara posts and her welding skills, Christine finds inspiration from her past as a landscape designer, infusing her creations with uniqueness and vibrancy.

Dave Borgioli-Jones
Dave is a wave artist based in Hamilton, New Zealand, ironically one of this country’s few large cities without a beach. While his works are created here, you’ll find him in or around the ocean most of the time. Waikato, Coromandel, Auckland and Taranaki coasts are popular haunts.
Dave takes photos and interprets his favourites with soft pastel.
Hannah Jensen Fox
A powerhouse of creativity, with a passion for the great outdoors, Hannah's carved works are often inspired by her time spent in nature.
She intricately hand-carves images into layers of acrylic paint; a technique she created in 2003 while at Auckland University of Technology.
Hollie Oneil
Hollie O’Neill is an Auckland-based artist known for her work in abstract minimalism and surrealism. Her practice explores themes of luminosity, colour, and emotional resonance across two distinct bodies of work.
Ingrid Boot
Ingrid Boot creates paintings of refined, surreal beauty — elegant worlds shaped by discipline, imagination, and quiet devotion to craft.
Classically trained in Fine Art and Illustration in the UK, Ingrid has made Aotearoa her creative sanctuary since 2000. Her work, held in private collections worldwide, often centres on strong, self-possessed women inspired by vintage fashion, rendered with meticulous attention to detail. Each piece offers a sense of calm and escapism, inviting the viewer into a timeless, carefully constructed world.
James Lawrence
James Lawrence has been a professional artist for over 40 years, having gained his Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking in 1973 at the Otis Art Institute in California.
Through the years Lawrence has been involved with many exhibitions throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, Taiwan and Japan. His work has featured in Home Magazine and Décor Magazine.
For Lawrence, the primary aim in producing any work of art is to involve the viewer, capturing their interest and arousing their curiosity. To achieve this end he constantly experiments with the subject matter, media and form, because it continually challenges him to further his range of expression.
Jeff Thomson
Jeff Thomson is a New Zealand sculptor best known for his colourful sculptural works fabricated from corrugated iron. These range in size from a life-sized giraffe to gallery-friendly wall hangings.
Johnny Turner
Wellington artist Johnny Turner sculpts from hard volcanic and metamorphic rock. Created over thousands of years from massive pressure and resultant heat, the formation of metamorphic rocks sees an initially soft stone is transformed into another more refined form, of heightened purity and a phenomenally durable essential nature. Turner sees this transformation as being of powerful significance to his work and in the undertaking of artists to transform their raw materials into enduring objects.

Kelly Mountain Duck
Kelly Williams, known as "Mountain Duck" or "MÓNDÙC," is a New Zealand-based artist and designer based in Raglan, specialising in a "mash-up" style of post-graffiti, pop-psychedelic, and cartoon art.
He blends street art, Māori and Celtic cultural motifs, and surrealist themes, working in both digital design and physical mediums.

Logan Bow
Logan Bow is a multidisciplinary artist and emerging architect whose practice bridges the worlds of visual art, design, and spatial exploration. Currently pursuing a Master of Architecture (Professional) and Urban Design at the University of Auckland, Logan infuses his artistic endeavours with the structural sensibilities and global perspectives gained from his academic work and extensive travels.
Outside of the studio and classroom, he has proudly represented New Zealand as a competitive artistic gymnast, channelling the same discipline, balance, and dedication into his creative process.
Marti Wong
Marti Wong has been a metal sculptor creating fantastic sculptures for 25 years. He works in recycled steel, old tools and interesting car parts, corten steel and plate steel, stainless and chrome, copper and brass.

Sarah Morrah
Sarah is an emerging visual artist, working in painting and sculpture, based in Auckland. She predominantly makes works with contemporary watercolour techniques, photography and collage.
Sarah's work pulses with the energy of transformation, thoughts turned into clay, memories layered in paint. She navigates the intricate relationship between mind and body, where creativity becomes both an exploration and an escape.
Seb Gower
Seb Gower is a New Zealand-based, full-time artist known for his vibrant, expressive, and often large-scale, impasto-style paintings that frequently feature bold portraits.
Gower shares his creative process via live streams, fostering a community-driven,, interactive experience that influences his artistic direction.
Shawness Teikii
Shawnee Tekii is an urban artist specialising in paintings and illustrations. Her creative journey began early, with a passion for the arts driving her decision to leave school to pursue a Foundation Certificate at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. Shawnee went on to complete her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Whitecliffe, where she now serves as an art and design lecturer. She also shares her expertise at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
A highlight of Shawnee’s career includes being awarded the Prime Minister’s Scholarship, which enabled her to complete a two-month artist residency in Tokyo, Japan, in 2024. Shawnee lives and works in West Auckland, New Zealand, where her studio is also located.

Our Story
Coatesville Art In the Garden combines the beauty of artistic expression with the power of community generosity.
Blending Art and Charity This event series first began over 16 years ago. After a long pause, it was brought back to life in 2025 in response to the growing need to support those who rely on our chosen charity, The Salvation Army Hibiscus Coast.
Blending a passion for art and events in a way that could directly benefit the community was a natural decision. At the helm is Susan Herbert, a lifelong artist with a gift not only for creating, but also for curating exceptionally talented artists.
The 2025 revival was a resounding success, drawing hundreds of visitors and raising much-needed funds. With 2026 on the horizon, planning is already underway to refine the experience and raise even more for this cause so close to Susan’s heart.
